This was the “Black Friday” show featuring the first ever tag team blindfold match and a 20 man Thanksgiving Rumble. 

Johnny Nixx returned and had a great match with Alan Angels in the opener.

Triston Michaels and Steve Martin handled the commentary with Jaxon Vile on color for match number 2. However, the recording was plagued by audio issues so the video probably won’t be released to the public.

(1) Alan Angels defeated Johnny Nixx in 9:46 to earn the right to enter last in the Thanksgiving Rumble. I have to believe this was one of the best matches in NCW history from a purely technical standpoint. Somebody or multiple somebodies put a lot of thought into the way this match was laid out. Nice mix of traditional and cutting edge stuff. Angels worked over Nixx’ knee throughout the match. The knee gave out on springboard move and Angels rolled him up. I presume Angel used the tights but there was no way to tell from the camera angle.

(2) Ashton Starr pinned Damien Parker in 7:15 with the scissors kick. It was another strong performance by Starr, who extended his winning streak to three matches. Parker has athletic ability but is kind of robotic in his movements at times. Starr might have become the first male to whip an opponent with his dreadlocks.

(3) Ike Cross & David Ali defeated Kenji Brea & Bolo in a tornado tag blindfold match at 10:21 when Bolo submitted. Triston touted it as the first match of its kind in wrestling history. Match was fairly entertaining for what it was. Bolo and Brea let Cross and Ali put their hoods on then waylaid them before putting their hoods on. Brea and Ali ran the ropes blindfolded which seemed like a suicidal thing to do. There were points in the matches were teammates unwittingly attacked each other. Referee David Weakley was lucky to stay out of harm’s way. Brea lifted up his mask to hit a double missile dropkick. Bolo tried to use a nightstick and knocked himself silly when it rebounded of the ropes. Bolo then submitted to a crossface/Boston crab combo.

(4) Austin Theory defeated O’Shay Edwards (with AC Mack) to retain the NCW Heavyweight Championship in 10:16. Theory avenged his non-title loss to Edward at the previous show. Mack was ejected from ringside for interfering. Edwards got a lot of offense. He’s getting a push as a trash talking, bad ass, big man and making the most of it. His conditioning needs work. Theory got Edwards up for his cross-legged neckbreaker on the knee, which was a hell of a load. Edwards tried for an avalanche swinging side slam. Theory escaped and hit Theory’s Edge (TKO) to pick up the win.

(5) Alan Angels & Johnny Nixx won the Thanksgiving Rumble to earn a shot at NCW Tag Team Champions Disorderly Conduct in 35:50. Nixx started and went the entire 35 minutes. The field of competitors in no particular order included Chris Nelms, random masked guy #1, Manson, Hoax, Mack, Cody McCulley, Matt Gilbert, Jaxon Vile, Kurt Kyle, Cross, Starr, Parker, Bobby Flaco, Ali and Edwards. Several plotlines were woven into what was otherwise a typical battle royal. Kyle played opportunist and eliminated both Manson and Hoax. A not-so-random masked was revealed as Brent Banner after he eliminated his arch nemesis Gilbert. Edwards was tossing guys out with ease. Eliminating Edwards required a group effort. Mack and Angels formed an alliance and worked together to eliminate Cross. Nixx scored the final elimination on Mack in spectacular fashion, hanging on to the top rope by one arm when both men tumbled over the top rope. 

Nixx superkicked Angels after the match and shook hands with Disorderly Conduct. The title match takes place on next week’s show.
