From Orgasmic Fury:
ROH returned to Nashville after a 2-year hiatus from the city. Excellent attendance that was near capacity as the Municipal Auditorium was set up for around 1200. As of a couple hours before the show, only single tickets remained. It wasn't one of those white-hot crowds as in the past but solid.
Dark Match(Future Of Honor): The Dawgs(Rhett Titus & Will Ferrara) beat Ryan Nova & Eli Isom. TK O'Ryan & Vinny Marseglia originally supposed to face Nova & Isom but said that Future Of Honor was beneath them and left. Isom has some potential as he stood out for his team.
Episode 1:
1)ROH World Tag Team Championship: The Motor City Machine Guns & Best Friends fought to a No Contest when The Briscoes interfered and focused their attack on the Guns at the 9:45 mark. The Briscoes wire-tied Shelly to the ropes and Jay hit a Jay Driller on a chair to Sabin. Jay said they were coming after the belts. Sabin had to be helped to the back with a great sell job.
2)Marty Scurll beat Shane Taylor at 10:20 with powder to the eyes and a roll up as Taylor had the ref distracted trying to use Scurll's umbrella. Afterwards, Scurll calls out Punishment Martinez and tells him he wants a title shot after he beats Dalton Castle for the ROH title. Martinez ends up choke slamming Scurll. Good match. Scurll may have gotten the biggest pop of the night.
3)4 Man Mayhem match-The winner gets a future TV title shot: Cheeseburger beat Caprice Coleman, Josh Woods & Jonathan Gresham in 7:00 after a Shotei to Caprice Coleman. This may be a web exclusive as I didn't quite catch exactly what was said.
Episode 2:
1)Beer City Bruiser & Brian Milonas w/Silas Young beat Coast 2 Coast by DQ in 3:02 after Kenny King interfered when Young was getting heat on C2C when they were on the outside. They restarted the match and made it a 6-man with King & Young added to the fray. King ends up pinning Young at 5:43 with the Coronation.
WOH Tournament Begins:
2)Mandy Leon beat Madison Rayne in 7:17 with Astral Projection.
3)Cody Beat Matt Taven w/ The Kingdom in 14:56 with a roll up after a low blow. Lots of stalling by both. Lots of interference which got The Kingdom sent to the back leading to the pinfall. The Kingdom beat down Cody & took his ring. Cody was super over.
3rd Episode:
WOH Tournament:
1)Kelly Klein beat Bonesaw Jesse Brooks at 8:21 with a running knee. Klein ended up losing quite a bit of hair at one point which I believe to be extensions. Nice match with some good outside the ring action.
2)ROH World Championship: Dalton Castle w/ The Boys beat Punishment Martinez in 15:35 with a small package. The Boys take the brunt of Martinez's anger after the match. Castle cut a promo saying he's the best and will be champ forever. He named Jay Lethal the next challenger at the 16th Anniversary PPV on March 9th.
4th Episode:
WOH Tournament:
1)Brandi Rhodes beat Karen Q in 7:28 with a small package after faking a foot injury. Rhodes worked underneath for most of the match after some offense to start. I'm assuming due to her lack of experience. Brandi is even more stunning in person than on TV. Q is a nice talent with some personality.
2)Jay Lethal beat Flip Gordon at 12:52 with Lethal Injection. Good match that was well worked. Gordon slipped on the middle rope trying to do a springboard that looked like a botch but may not have been as it played into the finish as it came in the same sequence.
3)ROH 6-Man Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks & Adam Page beat So Cal Uncensored(Daniels & Kazarian & Scorpio Sky)to retain. So Cal Uncensored actually won in 11:29 after Sky used one of the title belts to knock out one of the Bucks. Bully Ray came out to a big pop and said he talked to Joe Koff & was tired of there being no honor in ROH and said he was now the enforcer for ROH and restarted the match. Superkicks & Meltzer Driver for the pin & The Hung Bucks retain. Fun match & probably match of the night unless you're not into the Bucks style. Adam Page was the unsung hero of this match & was excellent here.
Cody & Scurll came to the ring to celebrate & film some Being The Elite stuff. Scurll led the fans in "Man, I Feel Like A Woman" by Shania Twain in some fun stuff to send everyone home happy.
It was good to see ROH return to Nashville to a big crowd. I hope they don't overdo it this time & try to return too soon or too much as they did with their last run here. The setup they have at the Municipal is fine & doesn't look bad but when the crowd goes quiet in that building, the silence is deafening. Just too big of a building even with the unused areas curtained off. But outside of The Fairgrounds, they have no place to go & I don't see them ever returning to the Fairgrounds.
