When I walked into the Face 2 Face school, it felt like a reunion of sorts, with a lot of people I first met at NWA Atlanta. If you've ever been to the new WWA4 location, F2F is a similar set-up but with chairs on all four sides and no mats laying on the floor. They do have a concession area and one restroom.
Bell time is for 8pm.
Teddy Long welcomed the audience to the school. Exhibition match to start.
Ring Announcer Zoe Walker
Missy is a trainee at the school going up against the more experienced Brooklyn for Missy's first match. Early advantage to Missy but quickly Brooklyn takes over. Brooklyn wins in about 5 minutes. Good sport(wo)men gesture after the match.
The Good Brothers (Fry Daddy and Tyson Dean (with Scotty Beach) v The Beautiful Bald Besties
Been a while since I've seen Fry Daddy in action. Tyson Dean (with Scotty Beach) is Fry's partner tonight. Beach has a kendo stick. The Besties come out to a chorus of boos and jeers. Fight breaks out before the bell even rings. Lots of history between all four men as they have fought seperarately and together all across the state. Zac and Fry start out. Michaels found someone in the crowd to jaw with and the distration costs him. Crisp tag work with Dean and Tyson. Head sisscors by Fry sends Michaels outside. Fry tries to fly and gets caught. Besties settle in on their tag work on Fry. Crowd is cheeting on Fry. combeack cut off . Fry is isolated, Tyson and Scotty cheer him on. Moonsault by Michaels backfires. Fry gets cut off by Zac. Fry really needs to tag. Tyson begging to tag in, hope spot leads to the hot tag. Tyson cleaning up. senton leads to a 2 count. Spine buster leads to a 2 count. Fry back in and Tyson knocked off the apron. Dive by Fry takes out the Besties. Double team by Fry and Tyson leads to a pin on Edwards. Time about 16 minutes. Classic match up between the four men. good way to start out.
Dante "The Dragon" Steele v Prince Apollo
Ref Big John has a bandaged hand. Steele came up from FLorida. Apollo makes the ref and ring annoucer hold open the ropes. Apollo takes the mic. He does his own intro. Fan in the front needs to be careful, he might get tossed. The crowd hates Apollo. Steele gets his groove on early with arm bars and take downs. Burst of offense by Apollo leads to a 2 count. Apollo in control. Sholder breaker leads to a 2 count. Nice german off the ropes by Apollo. Apollo working hand/arm. Comeback by Steele, had Apollo pinned but ref doesn't count, favoring his hand. Steele goes up top and crashes. Apollo locks in a submission and wins. No problem with the ref's hand there. Time about 7 minutes. Crowd give Steel a round of applause.
Logan Creed (with Brooklyn Creed) vs Axel Ross
Haven't seen Ross in years, he's looking great! Ross cuts promo on the fans getting instant heat. I've forgot how good he was on the mic. Hook up leads to Ross being shove down twice. Elbows by Creed in the corner. Ross bails after a toss and Logan follows. Logan sits Ross down in a chair and chops his lung in, does it again on another side. Once Ross gets in he gets a dropkick in on Logan while he's trying to get in the ring. Ross gets caught and thrown but a poke to the eyes gives him the advantage. Logan tries to faceplant but a low blow behind the ref's back by Ross stops it. Logan eats a super kick and is in trouble. Ross is no joke and is that damn good. Tornado DDT leads to a 2 count. Ross gets caught going to the well too many times and is faceplanted by Creed for the 3 count. Time about 10 minutes.
Intermission
Damien Bennett v SP The Ghost
Heel ref Big John is out. Bennet has the mic, says that people should be praying to him. Calls out SP the Ghost. Hearing a noise, Ref heads to the bathroom and gets locked in, claims that someone was in there. Bennett goes to investigate. Bennett says he's not scared of the Ghost. lights go out and Ghost is in the ring staring down Bennett, calling him into the ring. Ref trips and falls while getting into the ring. Bennett gets in and SP is all over him, crossbody gets Ghost a 2 count. Bennett goes outside claiming his hair was pulled. Cheap shot by Bennett puts SP on the mat. Bennett in full control. crowd urging SP on. Comeback on and cut off. Bennett jawing with the audience. 2 count and SP grabs the heel ref by his "injured" hand. Ref disqualifies Ghost and Bennett is the winner. Bennett attacks SP and leaves him laying in the ring. Bennett has tremendous heat with the crowd. Time about 15 minutes with the promo and match.
"The Exotic One" Simon Sermon v "The Punkrocker" Blackheart Oi In a lumberjack match
Simon comes out and Blackheart tries to ambush him with a chair but misses. Simon's stalking Oi, Blackhearts tries to escape but the Lumberjacks show up and forces Blackheart into the ring. Simon goes on the attack and Oi tries to bail but is chased back in by the lumberjacks. Oi still has his jacket on, Simon tosses Oi out and the jacks toss him back in, eye rake by Oi gives him the advantage. Neckbreaker leads to a 1 count. Oi tosses Simon out and the jacks tenderly help him back in, Oi is mad that no one wants to be on his side. Crowd cheers on Simon. Stinkface on Oi, he bails and the jacks are on him cutting off his escape. the jacks then start fighting amoungst themselves and the match is called and thrown out. Teddy comes in and offers Simon 5 more minutes. Simon says yes and Teddy tells the ref to get Oi. Oi comes out yelling at Teddy. Ref starts the 10 count. Oi beats the 10 count and Simon school boys him with a small package for the 3 count. Oi's furious yelling at Teddy, promising revenge. Time about 15 minutes.
Next F2F show is Friday, March 23 featuring four of the first round matches of the 16 man championship tournament with SP The Ghost, Blackheart, Logan Creed, Scotty Beach, Johnny Nixx, Simon Sermon, Prince Apollo, and Matt Von Reaper. Also, O'Shay Edwards v Tyson Dean.
